NewTech's cutting edge process uses recycled HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) and rice hulls (shell of the rice) to form our NewTech composite deck board. In an industry saturated with many different competitors we had to bring something new to the table. So what we do differently in the manufacturing process is that we use a continuous feed system. Where in we have an automated system that controls the amount of plastics, dye, and rice hulls that is added to the mixture. This process is continuous therefore eliminating the batch system that gives a wide range of colors from one batch to another. In addition, NewTech Composite Decking is proud to offer you a large selection of styles and colors to choose from. The variations of colors shown in the decking is the result from using recycled plastics.
Something else NewTech WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) brings to the table is that it is one of the few people to use recycled HDPE (Shampoo bottles, milk jugs, and plastic bags). The benefits of HDPE is that it is more sturcturally sturdy and dense giving the board a much more solid feel. Being more dense allows less moisture to be absorbed into the material. We are also one of the few people to use rice hulls for our organic filler. The benefits of rice hulls is that they are naturally high in silica which is helpful in the prevention of mold and fungi propogation though the asborbation of less water. The combination of rice hulls and HDPE gives rise to one the only truly post consumer composite decking products. This product is truly green

The proper size of the fibers is also a critical element for the smooth compounding and extrusion processes and is key in setting the final physical and mechanical properties of the product manufactured. Our mastery of this important consideration in manufacturing of WPC allows NewTech Composite Decking to offer you better flexural strengths, higher load capacities, more flexible designs, greater chemical resistance, greater water resistance, and higher resistance to wood eating insects.

Some of our NewTech Composite Decking boards have also been designed to be used with our Handi-Clip System. Our Handi-Clip makes unsightly nail and screw holes disappear, by sliding into the grooves on both sides of the deck the clip and screw are hidden in the gaps between the deck boards. In addition the clips automatically space the boards evenly so that you do not need to measure the spacing for every board you put down. This creates a nice clean surface for your deck, with nothing to snag your feet or your clothing. Also our clips are special in that they do not hold the board down by a physical "claw". They are held down by pressure. This creates a "floating" deck. When the boards start to contract and expand it is not anchored down and is free to move and therefore prevents the buckling and warping of traditional top down screwing and also the claw like clips.
